Prior to obtaining the user’s consent when required by applicable law, our website uses cookies and similar technologies (“cookies”).

This Cookie Policy describes how Pernod Ricard Italia S.p.A., an Italian company with its legal office at Via de Castillia, 23 – 20124 Milano, VAT/Tax Code n° 00867250151, and registered at the Milan Chamber of Commerce under n. 6952 (hereinafter referred to as “PRI”), is committed to respecting your privacy concerning the use of cookies on its websites, applications, and social media pages, among others (hereinafter, “Digital Media”).

Before using our Digital Media, please read this Cookie Policy carefully (including Pernod Ricard’s online privacy notice). If you do not agree with this Cookie Policy or Pernod Ricard Italia S.p.A.’s Privacy Policy, do not use our Digital Media.

We reserve the right to make changes to this Cookie Policy or Pernod Ricard Italia’s Privacy Policy at any time. We will notify you of these changes. Therefore, you are encouraged to read Pernod Ricard Italia’s Cookie Policy periodically to ensure you are aware of any changes and how your personal data may be used.

1. What is a Cookie?

Cookies are small text files or pieces of information that are stored on your computer or mobile device (such as a smartphone or tablet) when you visit our Digital Media. A cookie usually contains the name of the website/application from which the cookie originates, the duration of the cookie (i.e., how long the cookie remains on your device), and a value, which is typically a randomly generated unique number.

2. Why Do We Use Cookies?

We use cookies to make our Digital Media easier to use and to better tailor our Digital Media and products to your interests and needs. Cookies can do this because our Digital Media can read and write these files, allowing them to recognize you and remember important information that will make using our Digital Media more convenient (such as remembering preference settings). Cookies can also be used to speed up your future activities and experiences on our Digital Media. We use cookies to compile anonymous and aggregated statistics that allow us to understand how users use our Digital Media and help us improve their structure and content.

3. What Are the Different Types of Cookies We Use? The types of cookies we may use can be both session or persistent, and first-party or third-party.

  • Session cookies: Session ID cookies are used to enable certain features on our Digital Media, to better understand how you interact with our Digital Media, and to monitor aggregate browsing information and inbound source data. Unlike persistent cookies, session cookies are deleted from your computer when you close your web browser. They typically store an anonymous session ID that allows you to browse a website without having to log in for the duration of your visit.
  • First-party cookies: These are our cookies, which we use to enhance your navigation. They are associated with the user’s personal data, and no third party has access to the information we collect through our cookies.
  • Third-party cookies: These are cookies placed on our Digital Media by third parties to provide their services, including Advertising Cookies. We set third-party cookies on your device when you visit our Digital Media to provide services. You will find more information about these cookies in their Privacy Policies.

a. Essential Cookies

  • Cookie for Acceptance of the Cookie Policy: Pernod Ricard places a cookie on your computer indicating whether you have been informed about the use of cookies through a dedicated banner and if you have given your consent to using cookies to continue using the website/application or service, so that the banner does not appear on every visit.
  • Cookie for Identification of the Technological Support: Pernod Ricard places a cookie on your device that identifies you and informs the website/application about the type of device you used for access.
  • Local Parameter Storage Cookie: Pernod Ricard places a cookie that is used to remember your language or geolocation preferences. These cookies are necessary for the operation of our Digital Media, are considered non-intrusive privacy cookies that enhance the internet experience, and therefore do not require consent, nor can they be blocked.

b. Social Media Plugin Cookies

We use buttons to allow content sharing on social networks. These buttons may release third-party cookies on your device, which could collect usage information.

  • Facebook Social Media Button: These cookies are used to enable the sharing of our content on Facebook.
  • Twitter Social Media Button: These cookies are used to enable the sharing of our content on Twitter. To disable Facebook and Twitter tracking on all visited websites, go to your account’s general settings and click on the opt-out link. To disable tracking only on our websites/applications, you can use the “cookie consent tool” in the cookie section.

These companies may use the information obtained through their cookies (which does not include your name, address, email address, or phone number) about your visits to our and other websites/applications, in conjunction with non-identifiable information about your purchases and interests tracked through other online sites, to provide ads on products and services of interest to you.

  • BlueKai Profiling Tag: The BlueKai profiling tag installs a tracker on the user’s device that collects data about the user’s browsing on different websites using the unique tracker identifier. Pernod Ricard uses the data to profile users and define detailed market segments to use in the marketing campaign strategy.
  • Google Advertising Cookies: Google’s Advertising Cookies are used to personalize ads on Google’s digital media/tools, such as Google Search.
